OUR STORY

The restaurant was founded in 1966 in Cornuda.

Sergio Massolin ,started working on restaurants business in the 50’s ,taking part in the opening of the Restaurant “da Brotto”at Cornuda,where he knew and after a few years, married Pina. In 1966 Sergio and Pina,after the birth of their child Daniela,Leopoldo,Raffaela,moved their restaurant to Ponzano Veneto,calling it “Trattoria da Sergio“.In 1966,Sergio invented the raw meat dish,called “carpaccio”by Arrigo Cipriani ,one of the specialities of the restaurant.In the 80’s , Benetton family went regularly as well as many for example Armani ,De Longhi,Danieli,Tognana,Tonino Comunello and many others . In addition,Benetton’s are still part of business economy of the company. Second son Leopoldo , in 2009 after his father ‘s death , decided with his wife Ana,to dedicate themselves completely to his family business according to the founder Sergio’s principals.He acquired the property and the running of the restaurant.Nowadays ,Pina,Leopoldo and Ana still working there as well as the two cooks Enrico Franzoi and Enrico Massolin .

THE RESTAURANT

Historical restaurant “Trattoria da Sergio“ offers a traditional cooking made with dishes following the rhythm of seasonal tastes.Products of the territory,carefully selected by Leo Massolin owner and son of the founder of the restaurant,are the strength of a cooking that turn out dishes as homemade” gnocchi e tagliatelle”(dumplings and pasta), the carpaccio(raw meat )coming from mountain pasture cows,homemade ice cream and many others specialities.High quality products,a simple but elegant place and a friendly atmosphere,are the straight of the famous restaurant in Treviso,since 1966 .

OUR DISHES

Every day we offer many dishes of the local past tradition paying attention to the modernity.Some of our specialities as the “carpaccio” slices of raw-beef with parmesan and garden rocket invented by Sergio Massolin in 1966 , the typical “pasta e fasioi “ -pasta with bean sauce, “lumache alla veneta “-snails at the venetian manner , “seppie in rosso “-cuttlefishes with tomato sauce ,”peperonata”- a kind of pepper stew, risotto with vegetables or “alla sbiraglia “-risotto with chicken .

We are open from Monday to Saturday from 12.00 to 15.00 ; from 19.30 to 23.00

We are closed on Saturday morning
