Museum House of Giorgione – Castelfranco Veneto

Museum House of Giorgione, opens a window onto the great master’s world and onto an Age rich in cultural success , that characterized all the vast area around Treviso called Marca Trevigiana.

Inaugurated in 2009 during the 5^th centenary from the Giorgione’s death ,the museum is inside the artist’s house where he painted the enigmatic “frieze of liberal and mechanical arts “just a few metres away from the Duomo, in which the beautiful “altar piece of Castelfranco “or “Giorgione’s altarpiece”.

The museum with the altarpiece , the frieze ..and other 100 pieces bring back to the late 5^th century atmosphere .
